Kathy provided two full-day training sessions for our development staff and hospital partners, including clinical leaders, chairpersons and nurses. She is an incredibly talented presenter and educated everyone about the basis of fundraising and the importance of gratitude. Kathy helped people see that development work is not “begging for money”; but an opportunity to help donors show gratitude. This really resonated with our team and helped shift their mindsets. And for nurses and clinicians, they now see themselves as not just caregivers, but partners in our efforts. … Kathy’s role-playing and elevator pitch exercises were invaluable tools to help my team be in sync with our messaging. And I’ve continued to use those tools today when I present our work to doctors and nurses in patient-facing roles.
